VIENNA – The Carrara player lost again to Jack Draper and saw his chance of reaching the fourth final of the season slip away. The British gritted their teeth and beat the Italians: 6-2 6-4 in one hour and 48 minutes.
Big disappointment for Lorenzo Musetti, who after his comeback against Alexander Zverev imagined a completely different result. For him, reaching the ATP final is certainly inaccessible. Lorenzo Musetti once again bows to Jack Draper and sees his chance of reaching a fourth final of the season slip away from him. In Vienna, as already happened in Sofia and before that at the Next Gen Finals in 2022, the British won: 6-2 6-4 in an hour and 48 minutes. Blue, who after his comeback against Alexander Zverev imagined a completely different result, was behind in the first set and then had to continue in the second set as well, but at one point he seemed to have the upper hand on his opponent, who was exhausted.
After countless unconverted counter-attacking chances (7!), Musetti restored parity but at 4-4 he threw himself and after changing the result, Draper had the opportunity to participate in the final match tomorrow against de Minaur or Khachanov. For Musetti, reaching the ATP Finals is certainly unattainable.
