Kyle Richards Confronts Mauricio Umansky Over Viral Photos of Him Kissing Another Woman
Kyle Richards and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, finally addressed the now-infamous photos of him kissing another woman in Mykonos—an emotional yet awkward moment that played out on the March 11 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During the episode, Kyle, 56, admitted that seeing the images made their supposedly amicable separation much more complicated, leaving her unsure about their relationship status.
“I don’t know what this relationship is. I don’t know if this is just a passing thing or a serious thing, and I know how women are,” she confessed in a conversation with the cameras.

When Mauricio, 54, returned from his extended trip to Europe, Kyle asked about his experience. He shared that his time away consisted of spa visits, sound healing, and spiritual work—adding that he only “partied five nights out of the 25” he was gone.
As he moved around the kitchen making tea, Kyle noted how uncomfortable their interaction felt.
“I feel like he’s distracting himself so he doesn’t have to deal with me,” she remarked.
After an extended silence, Mauricio finally brought up the elephant in the room—the paparazzi photos of him kissing another woman at the Mykonos airport.
“I got photographed, you know, in the airport,” he said. “You know that I would never want to do anything on purpose that would hurt you or the kids. I really am sorry for hurting you.”
Kyle acknowledged his apology and assured him she didn’t think he intentionally got caught. However, she expressed doubts about the intentions of the woman he was with.
“I don’t know that the other person didn’t know that, but obviously, that’s hard to see,” she admitted. “But we are separated, and we’re allowed to do what we want in this time. It’s just strange.”
Coming to Terms with Reality
Reflecting on the situation, Kyle realized that the images were a wake-up call.
“The photos really did say to me, ‘He’s moving on,'” she shared. “You can live in this la la land for as long as you want. But that was a hammer on the head saying, ‘Hello, Kyle! He’s moved on! It’s okay. You’re both entitled to live your lives!'”
As Kyle grew emotional and reached for a tissue, Mauricio embraced her, but the moment only reinforced the reality of their separation.
“I think about, how did we get here if we care about each other so much? How did we allow this to happen?” she questioned in a confessional. “Everything we built—this is like the rug really being ripped out from under your feet. I did not expect my life to go in this direction.”
Ultimately, Kyle acknowledged that the situation felt irreversible.
“Seeing these photos makes it pretty clear that this is permanent, and I don’t think it’s going to be easy to come back from that.”
