Emma Watson’s latest film is Regression, a supernatural thriller in which she plays Angela Gray.
The young actress, who is passionate about feminism, clearly states two goals she wants to achieve during her year away from acting:
“My personal development is one… My mission is to read a book a week, and also read another book a month as the founder of the women’s book club Our Shared Shelf. I’m going to read a lot of books myself and learn on my own…”.
My mission is to read a book a week… I’m going to try to read a lot this year and spend more time listening.
“I realised that I could learn a lot by talking to people and finding books to read myself,” Emma said.
“So I taught myself and I really want to keep doing that. I’m going to try to read a lot this year and spend more time listening.”
The Harry Potter star will also be dedicating more time to the HeForShe initiative she launched as a UN Women goodwill ambassador to engage men in the fight for gender equality.
The campaign will include a week of art exhibitions, a university visit and a new website.
