With the offense clicking and a rookie pitcher rising to the occasion, the Dodgers made it clear they’re not just a powerhouse—they’re peaking at the perfect time.

Kiké Hernández Ignites the Offense
Utility man Kiké Hernández delivered the game’s pivotal blow with a two-run homer in the fourth inning, putting the Dodgers on top for good. It was Hernández’s 9th home run of the season and a timely spark that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

“We’ve been playing clean baseball, grinding out at-bats,” Hernández said after the win. “Everyone’s doing their job, and when that happens, wins stack up.”

Justin Wrobleski Shines in Career Start
Dodgers rookie Justin Wrobleski looked nothing like a newcomer, pitching six stellar innings of three-hit ball in one of the best outings of his young career. The left-hander kept Royals hitters guessing with a mix of late movement and poise beyond his years.

“I just tried to stay in the zone and trust the defense behind me,” said Wrobleski, who now owns a 2.89 ERA in four starts this season.

Bullpen Closes the Door
Veteran relievers Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott took care of business late, combining for three scoreless innings while preserving the win. The Dodgers’ bullpen continues to be a stabilizing force with postseason-caliber execution in tight spots.

Series Momentum and What’s Next
Saturday’s win marks the Dodgers’ 6th victory in their last 7 games, and it gives them momentum heading into the final game of the series. It also signals a strong close to June, where Los Angeles has regained its offensive rhythm while continuing to benefit from elite starting pitching and clutch hitting.
