CONGRATULATIONS! Ron Cey Officially Inducted Into The Dodgers Hall of Fame: A Legendary Night That Never Ends.y1

A name – A legacy
Ron Cey was not tall, not flashy. But he was a steel wall in corner number 3 for more than a decade. The heart of “The Longest Running Infield” – the immortal quartet: Cey, Garvey, Lopes, Russell – who not only played together for 8 consecutive seasons but also brought 4 NL West championship titles, 4 World Series appearances, and the pinnacle: the championship in 1981.

During that season, Cey himself was the co-MVP of the World Series, despite being hit in the head by a pitch in Game 5 and hospitalized. But 2 days later, he returned. No one will forget that image. A man – with a bruised face – put on his hat, and went to the field.

The legend returns to Chavez Ravine
On July 18, 2025, Dodger Stadium is no longer the place for a regular ball game. It is a ceremony to honor the old heart – Ron Cey being inducted into the “Legends of Dodger Baseball”.

Standing beside him were the names that had written the epic with him: Dusty Baker, Pedro Guerrero, Orel Hershiser, Mike Scioscia… and thousands of fans silently shedding tears.

“Putting on this jersey, walking out here every day, is something I will never forget. The Dodgers are not a team – they are a family.”

– Ron Cey, choked with emotion

A tribute not just to Ron – but to a generation
As the announcer announced his name again, Dodger Stadium vibrated with the chants of “RON-NEY! RON-NEY!”. On the electronic board, black and white images appeared, where Cey had caught balls on his chest, slid on sand with his life, and celebrated like a child.

That day, it was not just to honor Ron Cey.

It was a resurrection ritual for the memories of a time when the Dodgers never gave up – never gave up – never backed down.

Eternal Legacy – Immortal Symbol
Cey became the ninth legend to be inducted into the “Legends of Dodger Baseball”. And like all legends, he received a royal blue blazer, along with an honorary plaque that will be displayed forever at Dodger Stadium.

In the stands, fans received a “Ron Cey Bobblehead” – not just for display, but to remember:

“The Penguin” has never left. He is just waiting for us to remember.

There are people who do not need the spotlight to become legends. There are hearts that are quiet, but beat louder than applause. And there are days like today – where greatness no longer needs to shout, just stand still, and the whole stadium will call their name:

Ron Cey. Once Penguin – forever Dodgers.
