The View’s Sunny Hostin brutally took aim at Donald Trump as she called his Madison Square Garden campaign event a “white nationalist rally” and “the worst vision of America.”

During the event, many controversial jokes including one that was made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe in which he called Puerto Rico an “a floating island of garbage.”

In response to fierce backlash after the racist remark, Trump’s running mate JD Vance spoke out defending the joke. Speaking on the rally and Vance’s response, Sunny said: “I’m offended. I’m offended. I’m offended about what was said during the rally. Not only about my community but about all communities. And I’ll say I think we need to call that rally what it was. It was a white nationalist rally with a white nationalist platform.”

She continued: “Please read Project 2025 because what we’re not talking about is those are the policies if Donald Trump gets elected that will be the policies of this country. They are xenophobic, they are racist, they are bigoted, they’re against the elderly people, I mean it is the worst vision of America that could possibly exist and we’re not talking enough about it.”

Her co-host Whoopi Goldberg then chimed in and said: “I think that a lot of people went to that rally and got their eyes opened. Because I think a lot of people went thinking ‘Oh they don’t mean me.’ They do mean you! And you know you can be married to whoever you think you’re married to but are you safe? Are you really going to be safe in this environment? That’s the question you have to ask yourself. Is this the environment you want to be in? I don’t know.”
